Entry level:
- Attend minimum of 3 sessions a week with the intention and willingness to progress to 4
- Good attitude
- Understand basics i.e. use of clock, lane discipline, use of equipment, Laws of Sport
Age Range: 9 – 12 years
Average Age: 10 years
Training Overview
- 4 sessions / 5 hours per week
- Further build technique and refine skills, sculling and “feel for the water” correct breathing patterns, perfecting starts and turns, stroke counting, mobilisation. Competitions at this stage will be used to test and refine skills in the future.
- 1200 – 1800 metres per hour
