VACANCIES WITHIN BODASC - Lead Coach Silver Squad + Lead Coach JD1

Bridge of Don Amateur Swim Club [BODASC] are looking for two qualified swimming cocahes  to deliver squad sessions within a competitive programme in Aberdeen.

The roles available are:

  • Lead Coach of Silver Squad
  • Lead Coach of JD1 [Junior Development 1]

In order to apply for this position, a level 2 swim teacher/coach is essential, however an experienced level 1 swim teacher/coach may be considered.

A PVG check will be undertaken prior to the offer of a position.

You will be required to:

  • Carry out your duties in a professional manner and be able to cover other squads when required
  • Attend competitions to provide feedback and support to swimmers and other coaches
  • Follow codes of conduct and child protection policies
  • Provide a yearly plan to the head coach and to ensure that sessions plans are prepared and evaluated
  • Attend training and coaches meetings when required
  • Ensure your teaching folder is kept clean, tidy and up to date, and contains all relevant documents in order for you to fulfil your role to the best of your ability
  • Attend feedback meetings [1:1s] with the Head Coach and undertake 1:1s with junior coaches where required
  • Communicate with all swimmers, parents and other participants of the sport in a polite, professional and friendly manner
  • Complete any task that is considered necessary to ensure the effective running of the club
  • Committed to supporting the pathway from Learn to Swim through the club squads and into UoA [University of Aberdeen Performance Swimming]

This coach should be able to attend the 4 training sessions for the squad.

Pay is competitive.
